ST. MARK'S NEWSLETTERS:

The Messenger is a monthly e-newsletter. Find out about worship for

the month; keep up to date with St. Mark's committees and ministries;

check the calendar for events; find out when your are scheduled to help

or sponsor; and much, much more! Each issue for the coming month is available on the last Sunday of the previous month. There are black and white printed copies available in the narthex and under the outside mailbox.

The SMLC Weekly is an e-mail that is sent Thursday afternoon to those who subscribe to it highlighting the worship for the following Sunday. It will also contain news about the life of the congregation and will serve as a way to connect with the church if you cannot make worship on a Sunday.

If you or your friends and family would like to be added to our electronic mailing list for either or both newsletters, please send the e-mail address(es) to the church office or Pastor Jim. These addresses will not appear on the mailings to assist in confidentiality.

St Mark’s Fall Festival

St. Mark’s Fall Fest is newly named and planned for Sept. 15 starting at 11AM- 3PM!  There will once again be apple dumplings and chicken dinners for presale.  Be sure to get your tickets early! In addition there will be hot dogs, fried oreos, funnel cakes and more! Dave Kline and the Mountain Folk Band will be performing. A Mac and Cheese tasting competition will be judged by three local chefs with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.  Be sure to get your application to submit your best recipe! We will have a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction. In addition to all of this there will be games, a moon bounce, dunk tank, barrel train rides and tables from local organizations including local cub scouts, brownies and the John Paul II center. Proceeds will go to various ministries within St. Mark’s or to the participating community groups. If you know of any community organizations who would like to get involved in our Fall Fest, have them contact the office.

Not only is the Fall Fest a time to celebrate with our community and to invite them to join us in meal and music and games; it is also a time when we highlight and support some of our ministries in the community.  Each of our tables and activities of the day will help a different ministry such as the Food Ministry Team, the Mission Trip Team, Youth Group, Youth Gathering 2021 and The Seminarian Fund.  It is also a way to introduce our community to some of our ministries.

“How can I help?”, you may be wondering???  We need volunteers to help in various areas, donations for the silent auction and more.  Look for signup sheets and be willing when a committee member asks you for assistance. Best of all you can help spread the word and join us for lots of fun, food and music!  Contact Kristi Lopuski, Mary Kilareski or Pastor Jim for more details!
