ST. MARK'S NEWSLETTERS:

The Messenger is a monthly e-newsletter. Find out about worship for

the month; keep up to date with St. Mark's committees and ministries;

check the calendar for events; find out when your are scheduled to help

or sponsor; and much, much more! Each issue for the coming month is available on the last Sunday of the previous month. There are black and white printed copies available in the narthex and under the outside mailbox.

The SMLC Weekly is an e-mail that is sent Thursday afternoon to those who subscribe to it highlighting the worship for the following Sunday. It will also contain news about the life of the congregation and will serve as a way to connect with the church if you cannot make worship on a Sunday.

If you or your friends and family would like to be added to our electronic mailing list for either or both newsletters, please send the e-mail address(es) to the church office or Pastor Jim. These addresses will not appear on the mailings to assist in confidentiality.

Vacation Bible School

We will be holding our VBS in partnership with St Paul’s UCC on June 16 through the 20, 2019.  There will be a light supper at 6 followed by the program until 8:30 PM. Any children from the community ages 4 to 12 years are welcome. We are in need of volunteers to help with VBS especially to assist with crafts and games.  Please see Carol Seidel for more information.

Ukulele Workshops:

This summer, we will again sponsor three Ukulele Workshops for the public - all are welcome to join us for these free workshops - all ages and all player levels.  Bring your own ukulele or use one of ours.  Invite a friend or neighbor.  Each workshop goes from 10:00 am to noon.  Pizza follows each workshop. The dates for this summer’s workshops are: Saturday, June 22nd, Thursday, July 11th & Thursday August 1st.

Kids in the Kitchen:

As part of our Food Ministry, we are hosting several Kids in the Kitchen events this summer to give our younger generation some important life skills.  These classes are open to kids from 8 - 18 years of age.  A $10 donation is suggested for each child which will be donated to the Birdsboro Food Pantry.  Each class runs 10:00 am - Noon.  Our scheduled classes are listed below:

Wednesday, July 10th - Homemade Pizzas, home-made garlic bread, Caprese salad, peanut butter balls

Thursday, July 25th - Soft Pretzels with dipping sauces, pretzel roll sandwiches, celery and apple salad

Thursday, August 8th - Mediterranean cuisine - fruit kabobs, hummus, flat bread, chicken kabobs, homemade spearmint tea fresh from the garden
